Developed With Love
(And Lots of Research)
After years of getting headaches every time we'd light big box-store candles, we began perfecting our own candle recipe (mad scientist status!). We did our research until we found ingredients that wouldn't harm us and that we could feel safe about breathing in. Also having a family member with a lung condition, we kept this in mind as we sourced vegan, clean ingredients, and took time perfecting our clean, non-toxic candles.
Hand-Poured With Care
Our candles are a true labor of love. From set up to shipping out, we hand-pour each and every single one, ever-so-carefully trim each wick, then we decorate each one with ethically sourced tumbled crystals, dried flowers, and heat-safe glitter for our own unique touch.
The Cleaner the Candle, the Slower the Burn
Since our candles use quality, non-toxic ingredients, they have a much slower, cleaner burn than other big box store candles. No yucky black soot, no headaches, no coughing. Just a slow burning, beautiful candle. Our 11 ounce jars burn for a whopping 55 hours!
Candle Care Guide
Trim the Wick
Trim the wick about a 1/4 inch each time before lighting it. Keep candle free of any foreign materials like matches and wick trimmings.
Placement & Timing are Everything
Only burn your candle on a level, fire-resistant surface. Always use caution when burning any candle as the container will get hot when candle is lit. Do not let your candles burn for more than 4 hours at a time and be sure to burn candle within sight.
Avoid Tunneling
The first time you light your candle, let it burn for about 45 minutes, or until the melted wax pools to the edge of the container. Letting the wax pool to the edge will prevent wax from tunneling!
Safety First
Keep your candle away from drafts and vibrations. Keep out of reach of pets and children. Never burn your candle near anything that can catch fire. Never throw water on an out of control candle flame as that can fuel a wax fire. If you need to extinguish a candle flame quickly, use baking soda or a candle snuffer.
Time for a New Candle!
Typically, you should no longer re-light a candle when it has less than a 1/2 inch of wax left at the bottom. When wax gets low, you should carefully scoop out extra crystals and flowers (when not lit) to avoid overheating.
